Zuperpollo, clearly

The August issue of Big Magazine is devoted to Miami. I know: what does a New Yawk magazine know about South Florida, right? But don’t turn up your nose just yet. Some of the people who put the issue together actually have South Florida roots. The issue presents:

a day in the life of every Miamian’s I-95 panorama: endless housing tracts, Metrorail, that Don Bailey billboard with the naked guy.

And it’s all accompanied by smart-mouthed running commentary from five local 18-24 year-olds. Underneath a picture of a guy in a mailman’s uniform at a bus stop, the kid named Crice says, “I don’t know how he’s going to deliver mail on a bus.”

”It’s a very special point-of-view from Miami,” says publisher Marcelo Jünemann, noting they stayed far away from flamingoes and the usual Florida effluvia.
