Page Six reports that the “back-biting ways of Norman Mailer, Michael Wolff, Tom Wolfe, Tina Brown, John Irving and John Updike are detailed in a story in the upcoming issue of Playboy.”

In a couple of excerpted quotes, Mailer accuses Tom Wolfe of pouting over lack of recognition from his literary brethren. Wolfe counters that Mailer is just “threatened by [Wolfe’s] idea of a big return to the naturalistic novel.”
