Private: Write, Russian

The Summer Literary Seminars in St. Petersburg, Russia, attract well-known writers. On the site, you can watch a little movie of Dave Eggers reading from his novel You Shall Know Our Velocity. (Thanks to Steven Seighman for the link.)

Speaking of St. Petersburg, the current issue of The New Yorker contains an article by Ian Frazier about that city, which is 300 years old this year. Unfortunately, the article is not available online. However, the Web offers other examples of Frazier’s writing, such as these gems: “Typewriter Man” and “Tomorrow’s Bird.”
