The New York budget bill passed by the legislature last Friday is 573 pages long. Single-spaced.*
I just came across a provision that would thrill the Antigeist, who is flabbergasted and enraged by state laws requiring liquor stores to close on Sundays.
The bill, if it becomes law, will allow alcohol vendors to operate during any six days of the week they choose. If they operate on Sunday, they’ll have to close on another day during the week.
* The governor has promised to veto it, but the legislature says it has enough votes to override the veto. So I’ve been reading it (for work).
