Tonight at Book Court

What We Do NowTonight I go up against Billionaire for Bush Monet Oliver de Place in a Melville House-sponsored taxation debate moderated by Dennis Loy Johnson.

The event promotes What We Do Now, an instant book intended to get Democrats fired up with post-election exhortations from Howard Dean, Donna Brazile, an assortment of scholars, thinkers and journalists, and writers including Percival Everett and Steve Almond.

I contributed an essay called “Stop Yawning Over Taxes.”

Dennis moderates tonight’s event, which is free at BookCourt — 163 Court St. in Brooklyn — at 7 p.m. It slipped my mind, but last night night he appeared on Janeane Garofalo’s Majority Report to talk about the book. Anybody know if there’s a way to stream archives?

Way behind at work and with email this week. More later, if possible. Otherwise, please come back tomorrow.
