That’s my girl

The Fold Drop provides a little perspective on the O’Hagan review that got my dander up recently:

Last month Andrew O’Hagan’s review of Dale Peck’s What We Lost provoked widespread reaction, and now something has been brought to my attention about his lifestyle which explains a lot about his attitudes. His girlfriend is India Knight, author of awful books as well as a UK Sunday Times column that I had to stop reading because it made me cry that someone was being paid to spout such spectactularly stupid opinions. She once explained that the reason so many thin, attractive women are single is that they are too picky and insufficiently manipulative, whereas she a) is not thin [by a long shot, or attractive, and I’m exercising remarkable restraint here – go find a picture] b) not picky and c) knows how to hoodwink a fella.
