Specious tax advice book protected under First Amendment

The U.S. government can’t ban a book (The Federal Mafia: How the Federal Government Illegally Imposes and Unlawfully Collects Federal Income Taxes) containing specious tax advice, a U.S. appellate court has ruled.

The decision makes sense–First Amendment rights and all–but tax judges around the country must be rolling their eyes. You’d be surprised how often crackpot tax protest cases come up. (Times link via the elderly Ms. Sarah Weinman.)
