Update: Says Simon, an information management advisor in New Zealand:
Doubtful. All the robot is doing is replacing a library assistant, someone who shelves books. Thatâ€™s not really what librarians do. I think reference librarians will be around for a while yet (the head of Google, I believe, said that it would take about another 300 years for AI to get good enough to replace a reference librarian â€“ he thinks weâ€™re still valuable).
