The proprietor of Kitabkhana linked last week to an article in the Independent about all the publishing jobs being shifted to India. He says:
Perhaps they should’ve run this under a different headline: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid. All I can say is that it’s the long-delayed revenge of Macaulay’s children. Educate us and first we produce wobbly fiction, but eventually we get down to what matters: jobs.
