Outside, snow is whirling from the heavens. We’ve had six inches, minimum, in the past three hours.
From my desk, I can hear the next-door neighbors scraping their front sidewalk in a preliminary round of shoveling. People across the street are using long-handled scrapers to push snow off of their cars. A snowplow just made a pass toward the east, but the street is already turning white again.
We had a big pot of homemade soup for dinner. Now I’m polishing off a Bass Ale and hoping for a snow day tomorrow. Normally I don’t get a long weekend for President’s Day….
