Must converge

Flannery O’Connor’s family farm, Andalusia, is now open to the public:

A popular attraction is O’Connor’s bedroom, where her bed, crutches, some of her books and one of her typewriters are on display.

O’Connor finished her first novel, ‘‘Wise Blood,’’ and wrote other stories, essays and letters in the room during the last 13 years of her short life. O’Connor, who had lupus, died in 1964 at the age of 39.
