Lit crit and the book blogs

At Crooked Timber, John Holbo continues to contemplate the significance of non-academic book blogs, like this one, to literary studies. After the original Crooked Timber post on the subject, I asked a lit-crit professor of mine what he thought. He said, “I’ve seen your site. It has no significance. Also, are you ever going to turn in that paper?”

Anyhow, Holbo offers some interesting thoughts on the subject and responds thoughtfully to dissenters. Drop by and comment, if you have anything to add.
