Greer interview forthcoming

Mark Sarvas writes about a recent Andrew Sean Greer reading and announces that he’ll soon post an interview with the author. Greer’s most recent book, The Confessions of Max Tivoli, is a complex and elegant novel about a boy born with the body of an old man. As the boy, Max, ages, his appearance grows more youthful. Greer uses this reverse-aging conceit to elucidate the sadness and treachery thwarted love inspires.

The book has been acclaimed by John Updike, Chris Lehmann and a host of other reviewers. The first chapter is available online. A new short story by Greer appears in the current New Yorker.
