Derwent May finds that Yvonne Cloetta’s biography of Graham Greene sheds some light on Greene’s attitude toward the lover of his later years but “is not otherwise very interesting.” May holds out hope for another work-in-progress:
Norman Sherry announced in 1999 that he had only a couple of hundred words left to write of his third volume, which was 1,000 pages long. Once again, this year, the book is announced for the autumn. So perhaps we have only a few months to wait to fill the gaps in Yvonneâ€™s story. But with the procrastinating Norman Sherry, who knows?
