Fall vacation

I leave at 4 a.m. on Friday to visit my mother in North Carolina. I have posted a few things below.

If good judgment prevails, there will be no further posts between now and Tuesday afternoon at the earliest. There is a chance that I will inflict upon you either: a description of my mother’s reaction yesterday to the news that Sister and I will be staying at a hotel instead of at her house, or my prediction of the way the visit will go. Please feel free to ignore any content of that nature.

While I am away, may I suggest any of the fine sites listed here? Don’t forget to check in on Emma and Dana and the Old Hag and The Antic Muse and Sasha and Lindsay and the Antigeist and Jean-Luc Godard.

Also, linking to them now is redundant because I’m sure you’re already hitting reload on the sites 45 times a day. But if you’re not, if you’re living in a cave, go here and here.

And to CAAF in North Carolina, who sent me the funny note about working on a story in anticipation of a Tuesday evening workshop: sorry I haven’t written you back yet. Also, start a weblog, would you?
