Catherine Deneuve’s memoir mocked at home

According to The Age, a review published in a French daily says the diaries of Catherine Deneuve, which will published next week:

“make Marilyn Monroe look like an intellectual” … “The legend is shattered,” said a critic in Le Figaro, the “syrupy, banal” diaries being the “first faux pas” in the actress’s otherwise faultless career.

Deneuve kept the memoirs while filming six of her films, including Indochine and Dancer in the Dark.
